Well, if you watched The Island Day One, you know that Broderick had a
bit of difficulty performing in his pairing with Sonny, at least initially.
You also know that, as I told the guys in the loft, one of the four in the
front line would be eliminated before the guys in the back row even stepped
on the plane. That was the plan.
The plan, too, was to bring in Denver (Caleb's buddy) when
one of the initial four left... but at the last minute, Denver asked a girl
to marry him and said he couldn't "disappear for a week" so closely
thereafter. With him not coming, the need to kick one of the guys off the
island changed a bit, so I figured I'd ask the guys for their opinion
as to whether Broderick stayed. After all, he had made a comeback with his
2AM Sonny performance. <g>
 "So
whaddya, what, what are your thoughts about Broderick going home today?"
"Uh, my thoughts. I don't think he put in 100%.
I don't think he did the best he could've done."
I pressed further to get a definitive yea or nea, and Ashton again recapped
Broderick's performance. "Yeah, I know, but just from a personal standpoint?"
"From  a
personal standpoint, he's been like anti-social since we got on, since
we started the trip out here... and then with the, yesterday, I don't
know... my vote's 'adios.' Good riddance. Have a nice trip. Thanks for coming...
Do not pass go. Do not collect $200."
"Well, he'll get 200 bucks," I laughed back. "But he certainly
won't be going home with a new truck." <g>
 Duke
was a little softer on him, "I think he should stay, 'cause I mean,
he did probably take off the whole week to come out here."
 And
Sonny strode the middle. "Uh, I mean, I don't know. If. Hmm."
"So just say for real, like don't, you know he's never going to
see this. It's not like I'm going to go say, 'guess what they said'
or whatever."
"He's behind you though," he whispered back, not moving his
lips.
Turns out, he was behind me.
